I promised I'd post a few photos from our recent holiday to Ullapool in Scotland, so here they are:

Stopping at Loch Linnhe on the way up.....no wind at all and the water was glass smooth:

and again on the last day of the holiday...not so sunny (but it didn't matter then):

We did loads of walking....the area has vast areas of lochans and moorland, and odd shaped mountains:

Stac Pollaidh (I walked along the ridge on this one :D )

And here's me cooling my feet at the end of the walk.....

They are breathtakingly beautiful photos.

We are so lucky to have landscapes like that here, I really must get up to Scotland for more than a day for a dog show!

Superb photos, Nicola.  I love the 'brook' and the black and white one with the boat. The sandy bays are just gorgeous.   We didn't get as far north as Ullapool - perhaps another year.

My Scotland pics are not nearly as good (I blame my little camera :- ). I took a few of Eilean Donan Castle on different days with different weather conditions, which were interesting.

Beautiful.............you've really excelled yourself this time

I'd love to see your pictures of Eilean Donan. My one is fairly bog standard taken from the car park. :b I'd love to have had time to wander around and try different angles, and it would look great on a stormy day, with loads of atmosphere.

I'm not surprised you didn't get as far as Ullapool really. :) You did loads of travelling around, much more than we've done over a couple of trips to Scotland. It's a good 4-6 hours from the Castle, depending on the route you take. Well worth it though

WOW WOW WOW...its not often i get bowled over by a photo...but these 2 are bloody stunning.......really really stunning :D :D :D

Wonderful photos. We are very blessed with our stunning country. If you ever want to bring the dogs ,we quite often hire a cottage right on the edge of Loch Melfort which has a private beach and garden securely fenced, dog friendly with stunning scenery and walks all around. Loads to do and great places to visit. The drive alone is breathtaking.Glad you had a good time, come back soon.

hi nicola glad you enjoyed your holiday :) love the photos ,what gorgeous scenery ,ive never been to scotland and would love to go one day :b
