I was looking after my dad whippets last week and as a treat i thought i would give them all a pig ear each. However one of our dogs Sonny got very ill we didnt know what it was, he wasnt himself at all being sick and having the runs :x . So off to the vets he went. He ran some test and it appears poor Sonny has an inflamed bowl, not nice at all and it was prob caused by something he ate i.e the pigs ear. The vet said if they are not cooked right it cause cause the dog bowl to be upset.

So be careful when buying your pigs ears guys

p.s sonny is now on the mend :)

Hope your doggy is feeling better :) Grace my whippet also became ill after eating a pigs ear :( She was very poorly too.She is fine now,but she does not have them anymore as she wont eat them just buries them.Think she is trying to tell me something.Clever little whippy. 8)

Cows ears much lighter on dogs tummy.Still find out what your dogs like and can tolerate. So many lovely natural treats on market. Try Paddywack-cow tendons
