Just a quick update. She's still tired but she's eating and manipulating me to give her the best treats to hide the tablets in. The mischief is back and the tail hasnt stopped. She went into the hospital with it going and it never stops for long. The drain should come out tomorrow but there has been a lot of fluid leaking out today so i will have to see what they say tomorrow. I'm not so worried now as its a clean stiched wound that should heal as normal. She definately wont have learnt her lesson though! Just found a hole in Mouse's side the size of a 20p - either a puncture wound or a burst abscess. Its not a ruddy competition!

 :x Awww the poor wee mite - though it probably looks a lot worse than it actually is!!!! :(

Fingers crossed everything heals up ok and with no problems :*

She's gorgeous and Mouse.....I want one just like him...what character he has in his face :D

Well we went to the vets to get the drain out and after waiting for a cat and then a whippet to be put to sleep we were seen. The drain is staying in till tuesday now as there is so much fluid draining. They cant leave it in longer because of the infection risk. While the wound is fine the fluid build up might mean she needs the drain refitted at some point. While shes safe it could take a while to sort.

I asked him to have a look at Mouse's "hole". Its a canine bite wound and fairly deep. The skin has started to die back so hes on antibiotics and the wound needs to be bathed open 3 times a day. If it doesnt heal he may need a drain fitted too and the dead skin cut back. He goes back on Tuesday as well.

I know they are both safe but I hate them being ill.

Poor Pippa, hope she makes a speedy recovery. And Mouse too of course, he must have been feeling left out so got himself a little wound too so he'd get some fussing :huggles:

OUCH!!! Poor little baby :(

Hope she heals up very quickly :luck: :luck:
