Recently,Our Dannyboy has been pissing all over his front legs,as he doesn't seem to be able to miss them, when he squats to ****.Even times when he lifts his hind leg,it's the same.Wouldn't be that bothered,if it was doing no harm. But he smells of ****,all the time, and with him being white,it stains his legs. Also am afraid that he might get urine scald from the ammonia present in the ****.Since Trouble came into season at the beginning of the week,he is also pissing in his bed, which is very annoying. This will hopefully pass, but the other problem has been going on for quite a while now.I will try putting summit on his legs to try and avoid the ammonia burning him,but would be very appreciative for some more advice,if anyone has any.

From what I hear a lot of male Whippets urinate down their front legs, occupational hazzard!!!

I'd use wet wipes to minimise smell and risk of urine scald.

my spirits is the worse ,bless him his aim isnt right ,and sometimes fudge doesnt aim right

all my dogs seem to **** on there front legs ,,,billy,,,

one problem i have at momment , i had to have my fawn dog,,,one of his testicle,s had to be tooken off ,,,,and seems to want out more to tolite more now than ever

dont worry about it,,,its just the way they are,,

when pissing on tree my dog hits his front leg,,,and when squatting he still hit his front legs  ,,,,its just the way it is,i guess

i just throw mine in bath when i think enough is enough,,,,cos mine are kept in house,,,,when my wife see,s a stain,,,bath it is

ours constantly pee down their front legs-and being white it shows up alot too-

never had a problem with urine scald though-so wouldn't worry too much-the good lord gave them a tongue to wash themselves and failing that rinse their legs. ;)

Have the problem here too, whether they squat or cock there leg. Never had problems with urine scald so I wouldn't worry.

My boy misses occasionally - he's lazy and doesn't lift his leg high enough.

I just wipe him off with a wet wipe if I notice he's done it

Matt does it and he's white.....(and yellow :x ).............never seemed to bother him, just us. The other dogs seem to help him clean it up tho!! Never used wipes cos I didnt know if they might affect his skin more than the pee

He has even managed to pee up other dogs stood near to him..............he loves sharing bless him

Bless you Billy, you word it so well   Don't worry about it mate, won't do any damage, just that the yellow staining looks abit unsightly on a white legged dog.You may have to keep on top of washing it next year if you want to show him :D

Ozzy pees up his self every time. If he is at home I hose his feet down and dry with a paper towel (a bind I know but otherwise he stinks :b ) I also have some stuff by plushpuppy I bought on line called wonder wash, especially for the job its a self rinsing shampoo you spray it on and towel dry. The blurb says it cleans brightens and whitens but its for dogs of any colour / gentle without harsh chemicals :) I think the website is plushpuppy.co.uk.

will give the barley water a try Lyndon. Does it work for men too ???? :x

I believe it does, one of my work colleagues has a daughter with long term problems in the waterworks (catheterised) and he says Barley water is brilliant. He also says Cranberry Juice is good too but don't know if it's ok for hounds?
