the negative press is about pits and pit types i have'nt seen any regarding SBT'S

negative, one sided press is just adding to the mass hysteria and all bull breeds are suffering as a result

earlier this week my friends 8 month staff pup was booted in the stomach by some nob walking past in the park with his unruly spaniels, the pup had just been mooching out on her walk when the two spaniels came over and they all started having the usual friendly bum sniffathon, this is when the guy kicked the pup and told my mate that dogs like that should be muzzled and on a lead or put down

i love staffs and EBT's etc but just like whippets they have certain breed traits that need knowledgable constructive training in order to produce sociable well adjusted dogs.

i think well bred staffs and many of the bull breeds do make absolutley lovely pets in the RIGHT hands but i do think for thier own sake and the safety of others they should be licenced or controlled in some way,

i say this in the hope that they are less accesable to the undesirable elements of our society that use 'tough' dogs as status symbols.
