Hi everyone,

Hope it’s okay to share this here - I’m a dog lover based in London and recently started building something called Furvola. It’s a platform to book trusted, vetted dog boardings directly (furvola[dot]com)

The idea came up after a few friends (and myself!) really struggled to find reliable places to leave our dogs in London. There are so many dog boardings out there, but it’s hard to know who to trust. So we decided to create a curated platform where every host is vetted one by one - only professionals we’d feel confident leaving our own dogs with. It’s a platform with great user experience as well (reviews, direct booking, transparent pricing, etc)

We’ve just launched and already have some amazing boardings on the site, with lovely early feedback. I’m not sharing this to promote, just genuinely hoping to get some honest feedback from fellow dog lovers in London - what you think, what’s missing, or anything you’d expect from a service like this.

I’m not posting the full link because I’m new to this forum, but I’m really eager to participate and engage in this thread.

Thanks so much in advance

Hello and welcome. I don't board my dog so I'm not much help to you, but it sounds like a good idea.

Hi, and welcome. This does look like a good idea, as long as your assessments are thorough and completely reliable.

Your website is very clear, but I noticed a couple of things - you can filter for price, but it wasn't immediately clear whether this was per night or for the whole period. Also, I thought I'd check for places that accepted unvacciinated pets, and Canine Karma came up. Requirements for acceptance includes up to date vaccination, though further down the page 'unvaccinated' is listed under 'Special conditions allowed', which is a little confusing.

Thanks a lot for your reply, Joanne. Understood you don’t board your dog. Do you have friends who board their dogs? If so, do you know what’s the best way to reach these customers in London? We want to make sure our go to market approach is the right one. Thanks a lot 🙏

Thanks a lot for your feedback, Judy. We will be making these changes asap. What do you think it’s the best way to reach to more dog owners in London?

Ummm, I'm of an age where I don't automatically think of using apps. You could investigate advertising on Facebook, see if you could put up ads in vet practices or grooming parlours, approach local dog walking groups that have an online presence?
