Look closely at the window and you will see poor, sad Muffin :- " who wants to come with us in the car! He's taken to doing this everytime we leave him behind and manages to look soooo pathetic! :( He also makes us feel really guilty as only a whippet can.

oh bless him,he looks so sad, must say mine do that tooand when we have gone they howl and howl. poor things :(

sweet pic, poor little thing all alone.

Mine howl when we have gone(neighbours must hate us). I caught them one day,i peered through the window and they were standing in a circle, all three whippets facing each other with their heads thrown back howling really mournfully.

We felt quite guilty and often take them with us even if its just a quick trip to the post office or whatever just in the car.

Mac is never alone, I have heard the noises he makes when he feels left out. Loud... Since we are not really supposed to have pets where we live, we are trying to not annoy the neighbors too much. Except when OH gets his music head on and bounces around the house to full volume and max bass.. Nearly as bad as a shrieking whippet :D

He's probably making sure the coast is clear before he invites his mates round for a party. :p

(w00t) Aargh - I never thought of that! So that's what he gets up to when we're out - his brother, sister & mum live nearby - it must be them he's waiting for! " :p Must say, they're pretty good at tidying the house up after them - I never guessed what was going on. :- "

Yes, I agree. I definately think he's checking for when the coast is clear :D

You'll have to come back early one time...bet you catch him with his pinny on hoovering up the evidence

Awww, just look at that sweet little face, looking so sad and lonely.

How does he react when you get home again. Our two go crazy, even if we have only been out for 10 mins. (w00t)

He can go a bit crazy but we're trying to get him out of the habit of jumping up at us when we get home. We have a number of meetings in our house (it's a vicarage) and he can get a bit over the top when people come and some people are not great dog lovers! He's getting better but when he was younger if we had a lot of people coming in for a meeting he would go absolutely crazy, jumping over the backs of the settees and generally charging round at full speed. (w00t) Thankfully most people thought it was hilarious! Obviously not acquainted with whippets....... :- "

Ours do that too - lots of noses at the bedroom window when they are left 'home alone'. I dont know what's worse -the sad faces or the nose printes that I am permanently wiping off
