I thought it would be good to add a poisonous list of things for dogs on the forum - a great resource to refer to.

I will start with:

Chocolate

Mince Pies

chocolate, my dog has had a bit and raisins and grapes but all in moderation, and ive got him down to 3pints a week lol

I find most of the lists of things which are poisonous to animals really quite frustrating, as they make no differentiation between things which have a link to, for instance, causing skin irritation and things which cause death just from contact with something.

In gardens both daffodils and Aconitum (monkshood) are listed as poisonous, but in order to make themselves sick around daffodils an animal would need to eat multiple bulbs, whereas just digging around the roots of a monkshood plant and then washing their paws could kill a dog or cat.

you cannot feed your dog raw onion or garlic fresh either as this has a damaging reaction with them, some breeds more than others.

been feeding garlic with most of my dogs for over 27 yrs now and i aint had a problem, it all down to being sensible and in moderation,
