Sorry to have to tell you all that George unfortunately broke his leg on Tuesday. We don't know exactly what happened as we were in the kitchen when we heard him scream in the living room but we suspect that he may have done one of his wild leaps off the sofa and landed wrong. He has been at the vets since he did it and this morning he was seen by the orthapaedic specialist. He operated this afternoon to plate the radius. He has just phoned to tell us all went well and George is awake and talking to everyone. Apparently hes a big hit with the nurses but that comes as no surprise to us. If all goes well we can collect him tomorrow and bring him home. The timing is terrible with me just getting over surgery but these things always happen that way. So long as George is ok we don't care.

So sorry to hear this. Poor George. I hope everything goes well for you. xxxx

oh dear im very sorry to hear this, hope he makes a speedy recovery get well soon george :luck:

(w00t) One of mine did exactly the same thing when she was just 13 months old. It's so infuriating when happens like that, when you think of all the strain that they put on their legs, when running, to then and go and do it jumping off the settee. Like you, I had it plated and she made incredible progress and surprised all the staff at the vets with her attitude. I do hope that George makes as good a recovery, but if you think it'll make him think twice, in future, think again, 'cos Mistee still acts like a wound up maniac now and again and my heart is in my mouth regularly.

hope he makes full recovery he still only young time great healer
