We purchased a dog cage from Pawhut on advice from our breeder 2 years ago. It's now out of warranty and we wanted to purchase a new plastic tray for the bottom as it has split.
Not only can they not provide the tray, meaning we'd have to buy an entire new cage, they have no intention of producing spares in the future.
With an item that clearly will wear out at some point, hence the opening to slide in and out, it is a pretty deceitful way to market these products.

It's not a service I'd expect any dog crate manufacturer to provide, to be honest. But I'm not sure why you'd even need a slide-out tray in the first place as the dog isn't intended to toilet in them.

All of the dog crates I've had in the past had slide our trays .....

Can you slot in a piece of plywood, cut to size?
