My whippet recently had a very high temperature, became dehydrated and ended up on a drip.

A blood test was carried out which showed an extremely high level of 'Creat.kin'.

The vet advised me to cut down the amount of protein in her diet and she seems to be recovering fine.

However I am confused. What is 'Creat.kin'? (Not to be confused with Creatinine level which was OK. )

Anybody help?

I'm pretty sure you mean creatine kinase, which is an enzyme and a catalyst in the conversion of creatine (not the same as creatinine), an amino acid which is involved in proper muscle function, amongst other things.

There is veterinary info on CK here

Sorry no advice to offer, but hope your little one will soon be bouncing around again. :luck:
