Hi Everyone

I am new to this board!

My baby is Holly a 13 weeks old GSD. We have had her since she was 8 weeks old! She's been sleeping through the night 10pm to 5.30am from about 11 weeks.

Yesterday she had her second lot of jabs late in the afternoon and was up three times last night, every two hours more or less! She has also been drinking massive amounts today!

Could this be a reaction to the jab? She seems happy and alert otherwise and is eating as normal!

Yes, it could well be a reaction to her jabs. Keep an eye on her and do go back to the vet if she does not improve. Even if she does improve I would just phone them and let them know about her reaction. One of the components of the puppy vaccinations is new (assuming your vet gave the new one). Vets need to report any adverse reactions to an independent body that monitors adverse drug reactions.

Ah thanks for the advice gypsysmum!

Our vets did tell us there was a new component when we signed up for their puppy package, she was fine with the first round although maybe its the combination with the second lot!

She's still drinking loads although not buckets like this morning! so I'll keep and eye on her and give the vets a ring in the morning.

Yes, it is called Lepto 4 and is causing quite a stir in the dog world. There are many anti vaccine people out there. A bit like the whole Whooping Cough debate in children.

If you have ever seen Distemper or Parvo or any of the preventable diseases you would not hesitate to vaccinate.

Hope puppy is feeling better today.
