:( WHAT A FLOP THE PRESENTATION WAS WHERE WERE

ALL THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED IT IN, TIME TO GET IT

    BACK IN THE CLUBHOUSE.

Hi, I would like to agree here, the presentation was not attended very well at all ,one of  the owners of the supreme winner must have been very disheartened as he was being walked around the field with an official in tow trying to aquire a urine specimen from their dog. Lets have it back in the club house with "we are the champions " playing , the memories of these occasions live on for ever.I know some people can not attend these presentations, but please try  and for the lucky winners it is a must, jubilation is a very difficult feeling to express but when you walk up to accept your trophy with everyone shouting, applauding and cheering you will feel jubilation, believe me.......... :p   :p   :p

Poor George never got to see Val get the trophy as he had to walk Biddy around the field for a sample. They could have waited for both owners to be there to get the trophy.

I agree with you all the presentation was a shambles & was just like an ordinary open presentation  For the majority of people getting a supreme champion or racing champion is a once in a lifetime experience &  should be cellebrated in the main hall where people can applaud their fellow racers achievements &give them something to remember  for the rest of their  lives..Well done Val & George for gaining supreme  champion & well done to all the other owners whose dogs gave them & the spectators so much pleasure on such a big occassion..[well started john] :)

I agree but it was voted in by the members. So it is up to the members to send a proposal in before the A.G.M. And get it back in the hall. I felt so sorry for the winners. But it has been tryed and tested now, So dont forget to fill in and send back your voting sheets. :)

The presentation has been going down hill for quite a while, but it should be something special as should the trophies. To some people it's a regular occurance and treated as such, but to others it's a once in a lifetime never to be forgotten dream that should be really special.I can't see why unless under special circumstances people can't stay till 9 oclock to collect there trophies,i know i would. It would also be nice to see the owner and dog collect the trophy as the dogs the one that ran all day and crossed the line first.I find that disgusting that one of the owners missed the presentation because of the drug testing, surely they could have held up the presentation till the test had been completed, another reason to hold  the presentation later in the evening.

I think that trophys/prize money etc should be available after racing for those who are going home, not everyone camps over and can stay for presentation....but I think a main presentation should maybe be early evening in the clubhouse like it used to be.

My opinion is that championships are more geared up for the people staying over...for example an early weigh in...I had set off at 7.30 am and got home at 9.30 pm, esp with a 3 yr old it's a very long day...maybe it would'nt have been so bad if racing had started a bit quicker, maybe thats something to be addressed in future ???  otherwise can't moan, excellent races and good company.....just a shame about presentation and 3 hr wait before racing started

As it has already been said this can only change if it is voted on again but in saying that I expect it to appear on the voting slips this year.  But maybee we should try to find some middle ground.  As it has already been said not everyone stays for the weekend and have a long journey home.  And it has also been said that some people have kids.  It is not always possible for people with kids (especially young ones) to go to the club at night for various reasons and even if you do if your kid is deemed to have had a free for all (not my words) you could be disaplined.  A lot has been done over the past few years to cater for the kids this should also be congratulated.  So in my opinion people who have to travel or don't want to or can't go to the club should be able to receive their trophy after the racing and people who want to receive their trophy at the club should be able to with all winners being announced and any who recived their trophys earlier also being announced.  In my opinion this would cater for all.

We havent been on for a while and im just catchin up with everything.

I agree that it was a shame that everyone couldnt be at the presentation (biddy's owner) and yes it should have bin held after all sampling had been done etc, but bein as this was the first time in a while that it had been done like this, surely now alterations could be made for example why couldnt it be held in the main hall at a an announced time (was the time annoucned????) It seems the dog day was attended better once people realized what was happening. so surley lets give it a chance now its been voted in. The people who have to leave must have been chuffed to get there trophies presented on the day and not have to wait for a week or so to get them off there pals etc etc. and hey celebrations can still happen in the pub for those who want to and the other people can be on there way home so everyones happy(that'd be a first!!!!! ) :D   :D
