HI THERE, I AM NEW TO THIS. OUR WHIPPET JESS IS 5 WEEKS PREGNANT. WHAT IS THE GOING PRICE FOR KC REG'D PUPS?????

Are they show or racing bred. have their parents won anything in whatever field they were bred for , do you have a reputaion for breeding quality whippets ? Are you prepared to take any pups back at ANYtime should they need rehoming ?

For me all these things need to be accessed as to what price you are asking . IMO

At 8 weeks, our pups owe us about $500 each. Stud fees, transport, vets etc. & that is on the light side of $$$$$. We only get about $400 for the ones that wont make it to the show ring. We think it is better to make sure they have a good home rather look for profit.

But many sell at the top end of price too. Pets for well over $1,000 (aust). Thats up to them.

So in setting a price, you must take in the fact that because someone has a pocket full of money, it does not mean that it is the most loving of homes.

sorry ignore that last message, i dont quite know how to work this thing. I was only looking for a general idea of the prices of pups, im not looking to make a profit. I keep my whippet jess as a pet and this will be her first litter as well as mine. she is racing bred and has a few champions in her pedigreel. I am also keeping a pup for company for jess.

I agree with jax 100 per cent. There are many factors contributing to the price of a whippet. There is no set price 8)

I sold my racing bred litter for £350 each ......this included them having been home checked by my vet, full vets health check, dew clawed also by my vet, tattooed, Kennel club reg, wormed, home reared correctly, printed pedigree etc .....plus a supply of food (Royal Canin), their own toy, lead etc .........They were also virtually house trained and knew their own names befor they left .........Its hard work but worth it ......... :luck: Jess ........Hannah.

Lamplyte Keeping Time will be a familiar name to several folks on here. :thumbsup:

Julia's Zara's who is L Keeping Time's sister had a litter of pups by WCRCh Fuller Spirit and there are a couple of people on here who have pups from it.

Is your bitch Blue Gemini Girl?

And Moonlight Dancer I have as a WCRCh Red Devil son.

Interesting breeding as WCRCh Fuller Spirit is WCRCh Red Devils brother.

So yes it will mean a fair bit to some folks on here.
