Josie, agree my prvious dog was a Shelti, I eventually lost her at 18 1/2 and although she still wanted to go out for her walks, and I took her out for about the same time the distance we covered gradually reduced. Till at the end in about 45 mins we covered around what we used to do in ten mins. But she enjoyed herself which was all that mattered.
