i have just started lamping my dog. she is very keen, when i slip her she does the job but if she doesnt catch she starts hunting up  . this is some thing i have tried to get out of her but ive run out of ideas. help please.

Just seen this, so not sure if you are sorted yet.

What you need to do is just use your normall recall when you switch your lamp off, Dont worry about scaring the rest of the rabbits away, they will be long gone anyway if your dog is hunting up, just get out as much as you can and when you slip her and she misses her catch, turn the lamp off then recall her, she will sooner or later depending on your dog realise that turning the lamp off means you want her back to you, my one of my lurchers used to do the same, it took 7 lamping trips for the penny to drop, now she is spot on.

Good luck
