this little chap turned up in my village on wednesday -no idea where he came from and am trying to trace an owner.the police and dog wardens of 3 somerset councils have had no missing dogs reported -put him on doglost.co.uk but heard nothing as yet. we don't know if he's whippet, greyhound or a cross...one molar came out yesterday so what age would that make him? he's not chipped. he had a huge roundworm and a few cuts and a raw pad. this may be why he's walking stiffly or if he's got a problem might explain if he was dumped? any info appreciated -he's lovely and settled well with kids and lurcher. thanks.angie

This little lad is a mystery!!!! hes so young and so beautiful someone must have owned him

what is his story????

just found out that he was seen on monday -TWO days and nights before he was found!!! another call to the police to see if he was reported missing at that time -still thinking it could be a genuine case of lost pup -but then, you'd be frantic if you'd lost him and would be lettin' everyone know. beginning to think he was dumped -incredible! why go to the trouble of driving him somewhere then driving off without him. i cannot conceive of such a thing..

he looks so settled there!!! you keeping him

He's a little stunner whatever he is!    If I wasn't full, I'd have him.

i'm worried that who ever dumped him -if that's what happened -has more dogs that they are treating like this. i was going to put something in our local paper but now i don't want the undesirables to know where he is. it could be that if we ran the story then someone might shop them and investigations made.....don't suppose it would get high priority from the police though.

He is gorgeous! Will you keep him if the people don't turn up? I'd be frantic if one of mine went missing. If his teeth are still coming out he must be 3 months ish I'd guess.  Oh I wish I could have just one more! :huggles:

What a stunning pup

Have you put him on http://www.doglost.co.uk/default.asp?

It does sound as though he's been abandoned, but he could possibly have been stolen from another area then dumped :(

At least he's safe now :huggles:

He's so lovely - he looks so much more settled in the picture by the Aga - very much at home - Good luck with him - what are you calling him?

he's called Hector now and i soooo hope we can keep him!
He looks to me like a cross (a lurcher). I'm glad he's fallen into good hands and that you will be keeping Hector if his previous carer doesn't show up.

you are right if you lost such a stunning lad you'd be frantic genuine owners would have come forward by now im sure

I really hope you do keep Hector he is so stunning

Keep us posted
