Leah went into labour last night at 10pm

first pup was born today at 7.35am

shes had 8 in total so far.

one little guy didnt make it

born stillborn, we tried to rescucitate

but to no avail

so sad

the other 7 are healthy,strong & eating well.

hopefully thats our lot :-

they are all near identical.

when do you offer the mother food?

do i leave for a few hrs, to make sure no more pups

let her and the pups settle

then offer her something?

Make sure she has plenty to drink, food - she'll soon let you know, she won't eat if she is still in labour, you won't be able to feed her too much now she is feeding this gorgeous heap of babies!

Good Luck with them and I look forward to seeing them grow up!

looking at her in those pics id say that the lot :sweating: :sweating: :sweating:

offer her something to eat when she gets up for a wee, this will give you time to change all her bedding

The pups look great - so sorry to hear about the little boy that didnt make it but unfortunatly that is the way it goes and it happens for a reason. RIP little man :*

She has 5 girls & 4 boys

all doing really well :sweating:

shes all nice & clean

with new bedding and newspapers

her brood are finally quiet (w00t)

shes had some food & water.
