Puppy Farming

does top 10 brood bitch encourage puppy farming
i won top ten with sharpener but it never entered my head when i bred for myself hoping to get a bitch pup then if more sell to friends i was lucky the offsprings were exeptional so no in my case

Doubtful.

For one it's points awards are based on the offspring being succesful racers. This is usually apparent when the offspring are mature racers themselves so it leaves little scope for puppy farming a good brood bitch due to the brood themselves ageing.

The other matter is generally, non ped litters are small in their numbers unless crossed with the likes of a greyhound bitch. For this reason it could be seen that the top ten brood competiton favours greyhounds more than other bitches purely because these broods are more likely to have a greater amount of offspring racing.

I don't think the top ten brood competition is even seen by a breeder as some sort of accolade to work towards, it's just an incidental perk.

am i confused all i see on this forum is new mating is this the owners saying they are avalible e.g. husband at work or ive payed the milk man

Have no idea, why you would say 'puppy farming' ???? Our dogs are pets. The pics and programs i've seen on puppy farming,do not relate to our dogs at all

This 'new member' gives no details about themselves or any kind of introduction as to who they really are. My opinion is that they are just trying to stir trouble with everyone.

Isn't this the sort of posting that the moderators should be looking into. The K9 moderators who accept these requests to allow a person to register must know all this persons details,or they can make enquiries as to who it is so that they can keep a control of such people who cause upset and offence.

The K9 Moderators have nothing to do with accepting a members registration Doreen.

What Sherry said ;)

I don't think "Styler" is deliberately wumming, just maybe a bit IQ challenged.

Here's a thought Styler - register in your real name, and present your questions in a structured and reasonable manner, then if you disagree with the answers you can reply with more thoughts of your own.

Or you could just do one I suppose.

I didn't realize that Jac, so who does ? I know when I needed to find out a posters identity because they had posted something that COULD have led to legal action I was advised that if a solicitors letter was produced the posters real name and details would be forthcoming.

The site owners (Admin) deal with the registration process and presumably legalities of the site as they own it.

With regards to obtaining real names and details.. anyone can register on this site with a fictitious email, use the likes of a proxy server to hide their i.p. address etc.

To track someone down via the internet would need the co-operation of various sites and the trolls internet provider. Such situations that would justify such tracking would be extremely serious areas like child pornography. I find it very unlikely that individuals are going to go out their way for the likes of a bit of slander on the internet and a decent solicitor would want to see evidence of a detrimental loss before instigating such investigations. Bear in mind such an individual could meerly apologise for the harm caused if you did pay out for them to be tracked down so you could end up spending a lot of money and have little more than an apology to show for it.

Unfortunately jac, the kind of people who do post malicious or trouble making comments are not the kind of people who are big on apologies, it is very sad that this posting has happened on a newly formatted site that I'm sure most of us were hoping would be a refreshing change from some of the other rubbish that used to be posted.
