I have been looking for a bitch puppy for awhile now without any success - I don't mind travelling to find one and I can guarantee a good and experienced home. I can also provide a vets reference. I'm interested in possibly showing and maybe having a litter in the future. I have seen a few adverts in the local press but I'm concerened [from the wording] that the advertisers may be puppy farms.

Can anyone help please?

:huggles: welcome to K9. Good on you for being vigilant regarding puppy farmers. You should be able to get a nice home bred puppy from a reputable breeder without too much trouble. Keep looking on the K9 site and try the Kennel Club puppy sales site. Good luck :luck:

I'm just outside Newport in Pontypool. Do people advertise pups on this site?

I am so grateful for any help I can get because I am very worried about the reputation our area and West Wales has for Puppy farms in the canine community.

I have had dobermanns for many years but after loosing my dog in October 06 to DCM just before his 9th birthday and my bitch a fortnight ago after a long battle with chronic epilepsy 4 months before her 9th birthday, we decided that the health problems dobes experience are far to heartbraking to have another and as we have a lurcher [rescue speyed bitch called breeze] and my other half has always wanted a whippet we decided to see if we could get a bitch puppy.

I had a few people who wanted her,but i was uncertain about them,so a k9er very kindly said to Lois about my litter.

Anyway we had a lovely chat and i found the perfect home :wub: :wub: for her.Lois is a very nice lady and knows her dogs.Thankyou Lois for the perfect home :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Lois that's fantastic news :cheers: I'm having her big brother (Tito) :wub: and with Nicky having her sister (Tia) :wub: that's 3 of Angel and Dawn's little beauties going to us on K9 :huggles: They are GORGEOUS - and very well fed

Great name and lovely meaning :huggles: you should see Mabli's mother Angel - I fell in love with her at first sight :wub: and my husband (not naturally romantic) went all dewy eyed and said "she looks like Bambi's mother" :wub: :wub:
