As Gary has asked me for a few pix of OUR DANNYBOY,(TINKERMAN X WADDLE OFF)Then here is a sneaky preview,of what might be to come.

1st photo, was his 1st real race,It was down southern Ireland,(WEXFORD).After a 5 hour drive. He is around 50lb,but in no way near ready for this game,as ive done very little with him to date. This was a 16 dog stake, and contained a few racing champions,of around his own weight and hight, although there were a few littleuns in the competition too.Anyhow,1st race,he knew nowt about a lure that was to come from behind him,but boy did he take to it like a duck to water.

2nd run, were against Teddyboy, who is same weight n height. As you can see,he missed the kick.

but then.

Then he was gone

IMG_1939.jpg

His next opponent was last months champion, who was until now, very hard to get near, let alone beat. But Danny, being Danny, just took it all in his stride, and to you how. Here he was.Come from well behind,to win the semi final,by quite a bit,in the end.

Sorry about the quality of the last few,but the light was gone.In the final he was up against a dog that has won big dog stakes, and he stands 25/26 to the shoulder, and has been doing the buisness at this game for a couple of years, and is quite a dog.Again,Danny was slow away, but i put this down to 2 things. He's not got any power in the back end yet, with only being a pup,and 2nd,he was knackered,as he was too young for so many runs.He lost 2 lenghts at the start, and got beaten by just under a length.

Drew back level

IMG_2607.jpg

But just hadn't got the stamina, with not being ready. In saying that,if it had been any other dog in the final, then there is no doubt as to who the winner would have been.

.

So yes Gary. Were all looking forward to next year mate.

This was my Trouble bitch,on her way to victory in the 1st round of the 32 dog stake, and her opponent was a dog that held the title down there for the last 3 years.
