Usually the reason for NOT entering a puppy in the puppy class is that the owner has TWO puppies at the show and knows they will misbehave if in the same class. Therefore one has to go in another class.

Alternate reasons may be that the dog has 'matured' and will look out-of-place in a puppy class but look OK when compared in a class with adults :thumbsup:

Realistically though if the puppy was unplaced in the 'maiden' class it is unlikely to be considered for BPIS although it is eligible for that competition and some exhibitors would not bother taking the pup in for the challenge for BPIS
