its different on each track and weights and size of pups, so depends which track you go to, most pupss time over150 and not 160

It's always nice if you get a pup doing phenominal times but my biggest advice to you would be forget about times, there are so many factors that contribute ie track conditions, racing in company, who's timing, lots of spectators etc. The amount of people who start spouting times off is unreal, if i listened to half the people who've come and told me what times our competitors were doing, i'd never run off (w00t) .
The only thing i'd advise any newcomer would be, be as sure as you can be that your dog is honest when you eventually enter her in an open and don't rush her - so many young dogs get ruined by selfish owners throwing them in at the deep end
Best of luck with her, i look forward to watching her progress next year
If he hasn't got the time wrong you might find yourself with offers flooding in to buy her :lol:gabbitas31 said:I thought Steve had got the time wrong when he said 8.4, many thanks all. Diane
aycliffe times over 165 yds, if a pup breaks 9 over 150 after 2/3 times out of the traps its doing ok.DavidH said:TO TRUE ,WE PUT OURS BEHIND THE LURE WHEN THEY ARE SET UP,11 MONTH +++Vicky said:Hiya Di

IMO I LIKE TO FREE RUN STRAIGHT AWAY SO THEY FIND THERE OWN LEGS AS THEY GROW. OUR BENTLEY IS GALLOPING 70/80 YARDS AT 71/2 MONTH,WILL THINK ABOUT PUTTING HIM BEHIND THE LURE FEB NEXT YEAR WHEN HE SHOULD BE SET UP, IF R MEEK SAYS HIS NOT READY HE WILL BE LATER. NOTHING TO RUN FOR WHY RUSH  HE IS 30 LB ++. WHEN HE GOES BEHIND THE LURE HOPEFULLY HE WILL BE STRONG AND READY AND NO WOBBLES  AT AYCLIFFE THE BEST CLOSE TO 9.00 AVERAGE 9.4 /9.7 SCHOOLER BREAK 10 OK AS THEY WILL IMPROVE AS THEY GO ON. DONT END UP WITH YOUR HEAD IN YOUR HANDS ,TIME AND PATIENCE
