General Racing RulesWhippets are to be whippet like in appearance and recognisable as a whippet.

I think you should be ok to scratch race it imo

what's scratch race? I'm a noob with no idea sorry :b

Hopefully come summer your car will be sorted, we'll be having a few events at our club that you could come to, i'm sure the charity do will be on at Westhoughton too. As of April we'll be racing every Wednesday at Gin Pit

Would be nice to meet you, Chase and Binx.

Oh btw. a scratch race is for the heavier dogs, usually in weight classes of up to 36lb, up to 40lb & No Limit (anything over 40lb) all these races are run off scratch (levels)

Look forward to seeing you Tina, Chance and Binx :) I don't know whether you plan to come via Birkenhead tunnel or Runcorn bridge but if you give me a shout, I can meet up with you mid-route and you can follow me down till your familiar with getting there.

It's a race for dogs that have fleas! :D joking aside, scratch racing is for dogs that weigh over 32lbs 4ounces when racing with the BWRA .So lets say your dog weighs 33lbs, it will run in the 36lbs scratch all off level break, if it is 36lbs 5ounces then it will race in the 40lbs scratch. Same again level break. Now the boys & girls over 40lbs 4 ounces, this the no limit racing, level break again.

The NNWRF scratch racing don't have a 36lbs scratch only 40lbs for dogs over 35lbs 4 ounces and no limit as above.

Thanks for all the info peeps :huggles:

Vicky I'm praying the car will be ok before then too :luck:

Jac most proberly will be that way, (Birkenhead tunnel) having someone to follow will be a great help cheers for that

Thanks again for all the help
