Rí - meaning "king" in Irish - is a large, gentle 3 yr old male greyhound. With a few races and some unfortunate times behind him, Rí is now living in a rural home environment in Ireland with several other greyhounds. Rí is generally a quiet and quite well-behaved gentleman of a dog who can be counted on to always get along with all other dogs, large and small, male and female. He tends to avoid the rambunctious greyhounds and prefers to take a more quiet approach. Still a bit shy around strangers, Rí has nevertheless improved since he came into rescue in late October 2005. Rí is good on the leash and in the car, well-behaved in the house in all ways and is vaccinated, neutered and in excellent health. He has not been tested with cats. To his credit, when running loose in large open fields, he does not run far but always stays close to his person.
