I was looking at some old whippet racing photo's, and they don't seem to be wearing racing jacket's.

Does anyone know when they first started wearing them?

I think this was taken in the Stockport area, and I'm pritty sure these dogs are not wearing jacket's

I,m sure one of the faces is Mr Mathers from Stockport, who owned Blue Peter.

I once met and spoke to at Hillstown whippet track at Bolsover in the early 60s.

I,ve got some more when I can find them, there's some with me hand slipping, and me working the old lure, a bloody old bike frame and my arms are working like a bee's wings :sweating: and only 12 years old.

I used to walk 4 dogs 5 miles a day 5 days a week for 10 fags, rain, snow, or blow (w00t)

Made me laugh as when I was growing up every new bike I got dad turned into a lure so all I was left with was one wheel
