Alright big lad.Bought one same as yours mate.But i got the CANON 75/300,where you have theTamron,i think.Nephew says the Tamron is getting good reports too though.Am after a Sigma 18/200..now,to save having to change the lens so often.That is what the nephew was using.Thing is,to keep shooting everything Ian,till the Jigsaw comes together mate.Lot of learning in the 450.Nephew was using a 40 D

Teddy and Danny have always been the same height and weight,and as for one of Dannyboys other opponents,he was crowned Champion small dog,at the last meet,and would be around 22n1/2,to 23,and built lick a brick,weighing about 45/47lb.Same height as Trouble,and a few lb heavier.In Troubles 1st race,her opponent was a mighty 27/28 inch dog,of around 70lb.2nd race was against a bitch of 25/26 inches,weighing around 55lb.Trouble weighs 42/43.Danny was 49lb today.

I thought you were a good judge of weight and size Billy ! Marks dog weighs 36lbs and the bitch that beat Trouble weighed 47lbs !

Billy your a long time in the game like me and you know exactly what type of dog is what ! Marks dog is strong, but he`s not greyhound same as Ernie who is slight and light, who look Whippet like. China, Zena, Trouble, Miss Tori are strong and take in Greyhound looks, size strength and speed, you can see that as did John Mahers dog and these dogs will always beat the whippet type dog.

Teddy Boy was too big as well, but the lads know he`s no good. It doesn`t matter what is said John O`Rourke rang me yesterday and said, his words not mine that the two finalists were not the size of dog that was intended for that stake. I mentioned Teddy Boy and he said that he was no good and had no chance against the big dogs so they put him in the small dog stake as they knew he wouldn`t figure in that as well, and they were right.

What they were looking to run was two evenly matched stakes. It`s all history now and I got the DVD today, not great quality, but some cracking contests !

All this should not deter from a great days sport and I look forward to the next one ! The lads are talking about another one after Christmas.

Just gettin on here nw n seein what all has been said...im not goin to take anything away from the racin meet bcoz it was a brill day but at the end of the day when Danny Boy and Trouble were entered they WERE told to put Danny in the big Dogs and Trouble in the wee dogs were she belongs but dad was told not to and was told that Danny is not a wee dog...which i wud say myself........

n the way its gettin put on here ud think he was a giant compared to the rest of the wee dogs...which he wasnt... he mite of looked big compared to the few really tiny dogs...

Dannys only a 12mnth old pup n im well chuffed with him just gettin beat in the final....he ran brilliant on sunday n im well pleased :thumbsup:

dnt c y sum ppl have to come on here and take that away frm him..... :rant: at the end of the day we travelled 5 hours dwn there to have a gud days crak n c how well the dogs dne.... Danny Boy came 2nd fair n square....
