Sadly Tom Bryne had to have Rusty Fox put to sleep early this morning. Tom was out with her early this morning and she got onto a rabbit, whilst chasing hit she hit a post. She was in a bad way and Tom rushed her to the emergency vet. The prognosis was that her shoulder was shattered and the broken bone had severed tendons. The only chance she had was amputation, Tom took the heart rendering decision to have her put to sleep. She would of never have been able to run or chase again, even if she had survived the operation, and that would of been worse for her without any doubt.

Tom has now lost both his champions in a matter of months, a real tragedy.

The only comfort is that he does have two of her pups to race in the coming years.

RIP

Enjoyed our races down in Thurrock this summer, will remember them for the enjoyment we had :huggles: .

Spoke to Tom today over at the Thurrock track, and he says thanks for your messages.

He had Nellie's pups with him and they look fantastic, so his racing will continue, which is great. I obviously have an interest in the pups too, so hopefully we'll be seeing Tom on tracks around the country...and hopefully I'll get the chance to come and watch too.

Thanks again (from Tom)

Paul
