I think you waited long enough. So here are a couple to keep you going.

He's quite a little character and really puts the whippies in their place. When he has had enough of their attentions he either wacks them with his paw or shows Diesel his sharp little teeth. He slept at the side of my bed with all the big boys and only cried once but was quite happy when he realised that I was still there. Beau insisted in sleeping in Albus' bed to make sure that he was alright during the night. I have never seen a dog who wags so much. His tail never seems to stop.

What a beautiful little man, his coat look's so soft

I love how the whippets are all around him.

He's a JRT is he.

Awww he is absolutely gorgeous , did you get any sleep ? :D

Yes he's a little jack russell. The short legged variety, not a parson. His fur is very soft. Last night I decided to spend a few minutes getting him used to being brushed. He just loved it. Every time the brush went down his back he stretched himself out. He had his toenails cut too without a murmur.

It looks as though he is going to be quite broken coated when he grows up, he already has bushy eyebrows and long whiskery bits under his chin.

The boys have all been great with him. I expected Albus to give him the evil eye and ignore him as he did with Diesel but was quite surprised that after the initial grump he was happy to lie down at the side of him. The only thing that the boys don't seem to happy about is the fact that because he is so small he can walk right underneath them and attack their feet at the same time.

I suspect Diesel and Rebus are going to be great friends. They seem quite taken with one another. That was one of the reasons behind getting him to gives Diesel someone of a similar age to play with. Beau and Albus are pretty much besotted with one another although they never exclude him. Diesel is so gentle with Rebus and lies down whilst Rebus goes up to bounce on him then raises himself up as he get there. Quite funny to watch.

He did very well. All the boys sleep at the side of our bed in the sacks. Rebus decided he didn't want to go in the tunnel and slept on top. He went to bed at about 10pm and with the exception of one little bit of crying at about 3.30am we had nothing until 6am (really 5am as we hadn't altered our clocks). I got up then as I thought it was a bit cruel to expect him to go longer without being taken out.

Sounds like Diesel is going to look after Rebus

Aw Rebus is a handsome chap, I have been wondering seeing your sig pic change...

Aw, Rebus is gorgeous and his name is fab

Sounds like he has made himself at home already

welcome to the world of jack russels hun, u thought whippets were naughty just u wait (w00t) ....oh and dont be suprised if u find him hanging from the throat of the biggest dog in the park lol.

fab little dogs with big attitudes, i love my little jrt she is mental (w00t)

Thanks all. :) He certainly is a big dog in a small package. He's been a real star and is settling in amazing quickly. Beau is babying him like he does with all puppies. Diesel loves finding new games to play with him and Albus loves snuggling up to him. He has not be phased by anything that the big boys have done at all.

He's absolutely adorable  I just love JRT's, they were my dad's favourite dogs and we always had one. They have such great characters - a bit too much character sometimes. (w00t)

I had JRT's too before whippets and I've still got a hankering for a rough-coated boy one day  Perhaps once we move to somewhere with a garden

Aww what a little cutie..and love the name Rebus too...
