Hi all

Now that autumn has come it I have started walking the whippet after work in the dark again. We often take her when we ride the mountain bikes and I like to be able to see where she is so I typically attach a flashy red light to her collar.

The problem is, she keeps loosing them! My walks must be littered with dozens of red lights flashing under the ferns.... (w00t) . I tried clip on ones, bike ones, specific dog ones and no luck they all seem to disappear within 30 minutes of the walk.

Do you know of a light that is rugged enough to survive mad chases after deer, bush fighting and muck rolling?

I have resolved to having a reflective collar but it is not quite sufficient as she runs often away form our bike light beams.

I bought from Pet at home a collar which flashes, for about 4.99

You can get those reflective, luminous yellow collars with red lights all around them .....They work for my lot .......I'll go and see if I can find a link for you

My two have Glow Walkies collars which are a relflective collar witha tabard on and the light is attached to the tabard making it fairly sturdy. I can't remember where I bought them from but they have lasted 2 years now on the same battery.

My two have these, they are excellent. I am out at 6.30 am, my neighbour calls my two Flash Harry and Flash Gordon.

Awwwwww. I'm all disappointed now, such a misleading title! (w00t) (w00t)

Thanks for your help

I have ordered a flashy collar and will let you know how that survives!
