has anyone had a problem feeding red mills ive had 2 lurchers on it an they have both went the same way goin bald at the tail an ive had 2 change the food

im feeding red mills tracker at minute :thumbsup: but i do find when i have fed the racer my dogs also go down hill condition wise :angry: dont understand why but its the truth never again will i make the mistake again

We feed red mills tracker & countrymans, only feed racer when they are racing. the reason that they are losing their hair could be because the protien level is too high for them

we always us redmills,there was a problem with it a few years back as i remember a few of the greyhound trainers stopped using it.As in racer it used to be meat first which means theres more meat but now to cut prices there is cereal first on the ingredants which is more cereal than meat...None of my dogs went bold on it i must admitt and we are feeding a very high protein based food and they still havent lost fur....fur lose is sometimes down to to much protein, rubbing oils and also genetic disorder...also down to dogs being jabbed for racing too.the best food to give your lurcher a cracking coat and condition is beta greyhound .cant beat it thats what a lot of my friends use and my god there coats are thick and very soft and in fantastic condition too :thumbsup:

when i changed my lurcher bitch over 2 feedwell turbo its the same protein as redmills an her coat changed but i had heard that they had changed there meal an thot id use it for my pup but hes has went excatly the same way as the bitch im now for changing his food again

Fed RED MILLS up to about five years ago, then had problems that developed and switched to GAIN 28%. The problem was resolved in three days ! Never had a problem since then and despite numerous requests and `deals` from other brands, I wouldn`t change !

We use FOUR bags per DAY, plus 30kg of beef and 5 beef tripe and thats just the evening meal !

My dogs are on Gain 28 and their staying on it, last year when Leia won the Guineas Challenge we were given a bag but it soon made all

 

my dogs unwell, :angry: so i'm sticking to Gains 20/28 :thumbsup:

I feed Gain 20 to my racing whippets they run well on it have nice shiny coats and comes out the other end solid :thumbsup:

Thanks for all ur info I went 2 the mam who does gain an he had none left so he said he had his own brand of greyhound 28 an said its the same its a bigger bite but it should do him till his load of gain come in

We use Gain too its fantastic, had ours on Beta Active before and their coats weren't really up to much. After a few days of being on Gain their coats are thick and really shiny and their performance has improved too!! We get ours delivered to the door, 30kg for £30 next day delivery, great service :thumbsup:

yes would still give my dogs the odd bag for fresh chicken mince when i can get it they went very heavy when i fed it to them every day on it but had good shiny coats an looked very well

my dogs love it ,but it's a pain storing it ,so trying burns at the mo they seem to be enjoying it....ther again they'll eat anything

I use GAIN dogs look well and do well on it think most of us whippet racers over here in England get it from Alan Unwin if you go onto GAIN GREYHOUND FOODS website you can get your local stockist in Ireland
