Hi all,
I'm Linz. Been a member for years, but also been absent for years.
When I first joined, I had a lurcher called Milly, and a long-haired chihuahua called Honey (amazing how often that long hair of hers throws some people off and they ask about her breed, but I digress). Sadly I lost Milly in January last year. She had a heart attack and after a rush to the emergency vet, was PTS at 6 o clock in the morning. She was the sweetest dog I've ever had and she taught me a lot about myself and about dog ownership. She's still very much missed, and still visits me in my dreams. I have a keyring with hers and Max's (my first dog) names engraved in bones. It goes everywhere with me, so that a piece of them is always with me. I also have cuttings of their fur behind their canvasses.
There has been another addition. My cousin's cat had a litter of kittens . . . So Kaylus is a mini-black-panther with a splash of white on his chest.
He's now 3 years old, and when he gets the chance, he comes on walks with me and Honey. He is also a monumental pain in the rear, but then, he's a cat, he would be.
I've come back like the prodigal daughter that I am because the forum's owners that I used to be on have decided to introduce AI to "generate engagement". I'm a writer. I can't tolerate the blatant theft of copyright that's used to train AI. Let's just hope they keep their mitts off this site.
Nice to see I recognise a few names - both from here and from the other forum.
Looking forward to getting reacquainted and meeting some new names.
