Hi Ispoke on thurs evening to greyhounds r us about a DOG I want to rehome and I sent off questionaire to them.It all seemed to go good for me,they were happy with my situation. I havent heard back from them yet,I know its only Sunday but I am panicking a tad. Soooooooooo want this beautiful girl and will be gutted if it all falls through.Trouble with me I cant wait, want it all to happen like yesterday.

Has anyone rescued a grey and is this normal.I hope to hear something tomorrow. My kids are asking every five minutes " have you heard yet".

GOOD LUCK :luck: :luck: I,M SURE YOU WILL HEAR SOON :sweating:

It took about a week for me to get my first rescue grey. But every dog rescue place works differently. Might be worth giving them a phone and asking if everything is ok and if the dog is still available.

Don't panic! These things take a while to process, they are most likely swamped with dogs and (hopefully) enquiries about dogs. If you are worried give them a ring tomorrow - that's what I did because Tiny was in Ireland and I was terrified the two rescues wouldn't be communicating and he would slip away from me - but it all turned out fine. :huggles:

It took about 3-4 weeks to do the home check and get everything sorted - but Whitelodge was very busy just then and there were problems booking a place on a transport as well.

Good luck - we need loads of photos when you get your grey!! :luck:

Greyhounds R Us, like many rescues, is run entirely by volunteers and they are extremely busy. I'm it's just a matter of being patient and they will be in touch soon (but I know only too well how hard that is when you are so excited!)

Lots of luck, I hope it all works out for you. :)

They could have been out fundraising over the weekend etc...

Perhaps they need to organise a homecheck too? (unless you have had that already?)

Good luck :))
