Hi,

Just got a puppy (long dog) whos father is by (glen) strike while the iron is hot x Kennelmix sulmartra

I cant find any info regarding his dam. Ive tried seraching for the prefix (kennelmix) if that is one?

Any help please?

I think Kennelmix is a Kennel Club name, by that I mean it is one the KC put on if you have no affix.

Could it be a typo and this is in fact the dam, "Kenmillix Sumatra"

This could maybe mean your pup's sire is one of these:

Little Black Boy was also mated to Kenmillix Sumatra, according to the whippet archives.

I always wanted one of those - then they went and banned slavery.

The dog i think is daniels pride. He is going to email me through a copy of the pedigree.

My pup is a whippet greyhound , and the greyhound has superb breeding too - but the bitch was un-run due to leg injury.

Ill post pics when i purchase a new camera

I just thought "Sulmartra" sounded a bit like "Sumatra" so I searched the whippet archives for Sumatra and bingo!

got the email of the pedigree, the sire is actually called mikes tizer fella, and is from the same little of daniels pride nd little black boy ( some serious thought went into choosing those names!!) haha.

Anyway cracking dog, and on the plus puppy settling in great.

Is there any reason why he isnt on the database? Or do people just add them on? Thanks kim :teehee:

I think people just add them on.

I put my whippet on there as none of his litter were there; I also had to put at least one of his parents and grandparents on to complete the links back to dogs already recorded :thumbsup:
