Thanks Martin for the invite. That was a good days racing with some TIGHT races.

It would have been even better for me if my dog hadnt have been playing up in the second heat. He never even came out of second gear, he could have and should have beaten that dog, instead he wanted to play bumper cars!

Well Done to John, thats the first Ive ever seen China run and YES she can run! Well Done also to Billy & Kirsty. (Billy dont forget my picture of Ellie May) (w00t)

Proper days racing and anyone that tells you that Shanes Castle is an All Ireland should come down and watch proper dogs from all over the country compete, not just a few locals out for the days fun !

This was serious running today and China earned her prize beating the two hot pots from Enniscorthy and then the local favourite in the final who was, until today unbeaten this year, having won 3 stakes !

Looking forward to Billys photos appearing over the next few days !

I`m probably off to Enniscorthy next Friday night with Ernie, where over 70 dogs compete over 200 yards from traps. There are a good few racing whippets supposibly, so we`re going to head down there and take on some dogs his own size !

This event today, will make next weeks meet in Flourence Court seem like a picnic !

Im totaly knackered.So all you are getting tonigh,are these 2 pix of the 4 finalist's.But 1st,id loke to thank Martin's Mrs,for a cracking fry,at 8 oclock this morning.It was a blessing,after driving from 4 oclock.After that we drove at high speed,for another hour and a half,and i had the displeasure of watching my petrol hand drop a dead donkey.When we eventualy got to the running field,i gasped at the hill they would have to climb.My own dog's were badly in need of a run,with me lying for the past 4 week's,but run they were going to do.Some cracking dog's were on show,and quite a few were real running machine's.Of coarse i only drew one of the top 2 favourites with wee Niki,but there you go,you take the bumps with the smoothies,and she got her ass kicked.Might not have been so big a margin,had she been used with the lure coming from behind her.Trouble did herself a rather nasty injury in her 2nd run,but still had the heart to keep going and make it through to the 3rd round.Only a madman would have run her again,so i pulled her out the second i was imformed of her injury.That was well before i knew she was drawn against China in the next round.(JUST IN CASE ANYONE SAY OWT).Tell you one thing thopugh.She would have needed engine's in all 4 feet,with turbo injecters in them,to have beaten the wee monkey.Ernie ran 2 cracking round's,but the hill,and 4 very long leg's got the better of him,with only a length to go.He was a credit to his owners.Nikita then ran a few blinders in the consolation compitition,but got beaten by another of the favourites in the final.The very same dog,if im right,was only beaten a length by the great Blacky 1.All in all,it was a great day's sport.Run very profesionaly on a knockout basis.Proper dog's and proper doggy men.I could go on here,but not now,cause im even more knackered.Ill just finish with this.It's been 8 years since ive seen anything with the same class as the wee speed machines that i used to run before i was forced into retirement.I think i seen that same class today,in a wee black monkey called CHINA,and it will take summit realy,realy special to beat her.She went up against the best today.Not just ordinary racing dog's.(Hope i havent offended anyone here,cause it is not my intention to do so).There are some very fast dog's and bitches around up here in the north,and yes,they probibly would do well down south too.But this wee bitch has that special something,that put's her in a league of her own,for her size.I would class her in the same as Snipe ,Tarn,Silver,Tori,and Maddy,who she is a ringer for.

Let's not forget here that she has just turned 12 months. John.This day belong's to you mate,and i know youre rolling in it.You must be,cause you alway's seem to come out smellin in roses mate.lol.Guess im gona have to play catch up again.Ahh well,Suppose some creep has to be on top. Well done mate. UP THE NORTHERN DOG'S.We couldn't make it a clean sweep,but we came pretty darn close.1 N 1/2 out of 2 aint bad.Now that couple of pix ive just remembered about.
