When we got home after racing at Worcester on Saturday Lexi’s wrist was swollen. We took her to Robert’s tonight (Monday) and he told us the bad news she has badly damaged the ligaments in her wrist. She can only be lead walked for the next 3 months and is unlikely to be able to race for at least 9 months without fear of serious damage to her wrist. We have made the very sad decision to retire Lexi from racing. She has nothing to prove to us winning 2 national titles and her bwra title as well as being supreme puppy and yearling champion, east midlands top bitch for 2yrs, IRG gold medal winner, the supreme bitch superleague champion as well as weight class and open wins. A big thank you to Ron and family for letting us have such a fantastic bitch. This sad news is made worse due to the fact that Kath’s You Never Know (Lexi's litter brother) fractured his hock whilst racing at Old Hall and has also had to be retired from racing.

:huggles: A long and happy retirement to Lexi and Rip :huggles:

Sorry to hear this sad news Sally :( she was a great little bitch

What sad news for both yourselves and for Kath - what rotten luck.

We know both dogs will have a loving and happy retirement so sorry their racing careers have been cut short at such a young age.

:luck: in whatever you do with Lexi, Sally & Elaine maybe some babies (Sally who would throw nice blue babies we will have to think ;) ;) )

Kath what about You Never Know babies with Boo   ok now i havent said that i won't put ideas into Sadies head I just know you would love a little black Boo

Hope both dogs are soon on the mend :luck:

Must have been a hard decision to come to, but the right one I'm sure and along with the joys she has given you on the track - she'll continue to give you pleasure at home now :huggles:

So sorry to hear this news Sally she has been a fab bitch for you and so stunning to look at, we've enjoyed the races we've had against her and the lovely sportsmanship shown by both you and your mum. We wish you the best of luck with Zena and a long and happy retirement for Lexi (hopefully some lovely puppies at some point)

So sorry to hear that Rip and Lexi have had to call it a day so soon, always great fun to watch them run, their determination was second to none, by the sounds of things you'll both have queue's at your doors for babies in the future. :sweating: Hope you can talk Dad around Sally, Evie babies AND Lexi babies :D .
