It was with great sadness that we had to say a final farewell to our beloved Ellie today, aged almost 14. She had been unwell on and off for a while and on x-raying her this morning our vet discovered that she had a tumour on her liver . She had lost a lot of weight and we decided it was kinder to let her go peacefully before she suffered any more pain or discomfort.
Ellie was a pleasure to live with, a great companion. In her fitter days she loved nothing better than chasing the squirrels in the forest park or working the hedgerows flushing out rabbits which of course she then gave chase after, full speed ahead!! It wasn't until her latter years that she seemed to get the 'showing bug' winning Best Veteran In Show several times at both the NIWC Open and Championship Shows.
RIP Ellie, Our Beautiful Girl  . You will always have a very special place our hearts
