It is with great sadness we are posting this topic. Unfortunately this morning Timmy passed away as a result of a tragic accident at home. He got up and went out in the garden as normal. The only difference this morning was the snow. Timmy was enjoying himself running around in circles in the snow and ended up running into the patio doors. We thought he had stunned himself but it became evident he had more serious injuries as he was struggling for breath. We rang the vets but unfortunately he passed away will we were talking to them. To say we are gutted is an understatement. He has been a large part of our lives and will leave a huge void. The house will seem strange without him and all the other dogs will miss him as well.
Timmy was a challenging but loving dog. He started his racing life showing promising but at the age of about a year he started turning so we had to take him off the track. We spent a lot of time - and money - sorting him out so he could go back on the race track. He was showing very promising taking on dogs like Maid Your Point - the most notable being when he won his first NBch title on the bends. He then suffered another set back as he dropped his gracilius muscle and had another 12 months off the track. We spent a lot of time treating him at the local hydrotherapy pool and managed to bring him back. All the hard work paid off as he became Nch on the straights. After suffering further damage to his muscle we decided to retire Timmy as he had nothing else to prove. Since then he has been enjoying life to the full - putting the other dogs in their place if needed.
