I'd just like to say a word or two about The Rising Sun Whippet Club, who now run at Westerhope track : They are the freindliest, most accomodating people, I have met in over 40 years of owning runnng dogs !! There is now a mixture of Non - Peds, and a few Peds, and my Lurchers are allways welcome for a run up, when I'm looking to sharpen them up ! Some old timers, and some new to the game, a great saturday morning out !! And the fact it is only 1 mile from my house helps !! LOL !!

we aim to please but its actually bigges maine whippet club that now race there. we r hoping the rising sun will re-open next year after probs with the track. i do agree though it is a great social morning out lol

So is the bgges maine open at westerhope on the 31st

the 31st may is bank holiday mon madge. westerhope is on sat which is the 29th may and the rising sun is on sun 30th may. 2 totally different clubs, westerhope is actually bigges maine relocated, the rising sun is still on @ the barking dog playing fields in wallsend. :thumbsup:

think u cud b thinking of the bigges maine/jodami open which was orignally on 31st may that was changed ages ago 2 the, i think 7th aug and it will b on @ the rising sun. hope that helps :thumbsup:
