You know the rosehip oil used to help heal a wound, can you put it on a few days post op or do you have to wait for the stitches to be taken out ?

any help appreciated

Ive nver heard of Rosehip oil being used Julie, but maybe someone else has.

Ive always used Lavender oil for wounds

it's the pure organic cold pressed rosehip oil, I'm sure Helen used it on Josie when she tore her leg.....I'll pm her

i've never heard of using rosehip oil either

I use lavender oil on any wounds,it will heal it very quickly,& it's anti bacterial.

Also,as dogs don't like the taste of it,it will help to discourage them from worrying at the wound

I remember Helen saying she used rosehip oil and found great success with it - but don't really no anymore

Helen has a bit of info on rosehip oil on FAQ,Its on the post, first aid for dogs-hope this may help

Thanks Caz, Ella's licked her wounds a bit and they are slightly red, so with much protest she's got the buster collar on, I've kept my eye on her 24 hrs a day but had to go to work on Mon/Tues and her babysitter may not have done as good a job.

going to read it now
