Jen brought her boy Topaz around to visit my young girl Rue. They had a great time but comparisons got me thinking. Topaz is over 12 months old and Rue is 4 months. Rue is 5kg and almost as tall as Topaz with more bone and bigger feet. She is about the same height and has a flatter forehead and less prominent eyes. Basically, she is looking more like a tiny greyhound than an Iggy. Are there different 'styles' of Ig? And if so, who has which? Of course, my young girl is perfection and the new standard!!!!! lol Julie and her giant Rue

Next question is How can post piccies?

hopefully, you can now see some piccies of the kids. Julie

 Great pics, especially where the Iggy is running in the water.

What absolutely gorgeous photos   - those Iggies are having a whale of a time!!! :huggles:

Iggies actually like water - Im amazed  - great pics.

 Lovely photo's. They look like they're having a great time :teehee:

Before Rue came to live with me, I was negotiating to have a Greyhound bitch from the placement organisation and amongst assorted questions were, "What will she be doing with you?" My reply was coming out on the tractor and swimming in the river, among other stuff. I was told this was not apporpriate, the Greyts hated water and would not cope with a tractor.! I have to hunt my little darling IG away from the tractor and battle to keep her out of billabongs and water. I know they are not the same breed but was surprised at the Adoption Program persons attitude. No way could aI give up Rue, and sadly I cannot manage to have two dogs, but I still feel that a greyhound has missed out on a pretty fun lifestyle.

dont you know that every dog falls in with its breed type? obviously your dog doesn't

my IG's hate water

my whippets walk round puddles wherever possible, unless its deep, then the oldest one swims like a fish
