Oh dear. Poor poor Gelert :( hope that he isn't feeling too awful and that he won't be frightened of labs now (especially Sita).

We were so sad to hear that you aren't getting puppy, but you must come and play with Esme when ever you want.

Oh, what a shame - this must have been such a difficult decision to make, thank goodness you hadn't already got her as that would have been even harder. :( :( :(

You are right about poorly socialised dogs at Christmas, it's my most nerve-wracking time of year to be out walking as there are so many other dogs around and very little control. :( We went for a lovely walk on Christmas Common on Boxing Day, and I left Zephyr's thickest coat on him for the entire walk (which I never normally do when he's running around) purely to give him some protection from other dogs after reading about poor Sparky's experience.

Hope Gelert recovers well. :luck: :luck: :luck:

im so sorry to hear your sad news :( im sending you and gelert lots of :huggles: :huggles: and wishing you lots of luck for 2006 :luck: :luck:

It never rains and all that......... :( Hope every-thing perks up soon. Getting a puppy IS a big deal, and I think you are so right to postpone it until things are right with you and yours. :luck:

Elizabeth, so sorry to hear about all your bad luck with Dad and Gelert. Don't things always come together? :(

We do hope that both of them are on the mend and soon feeling much better. You will feel bad about the pup, but another one will be waiting for you when the time is right and things are more settled.

Hope that 2006 turns out to be a much better year for all of you. :luck: :luck:

I'm so sorry you are having such a horrible time at the moment- I hope things are looking brighter for you, your dad and Gelert very soon. :luck: :luck:

Sending all my best to you and your family and hope Gelert feels better soon :huggles: I can sympathise with the strange behaviour too as my dad does similar things but on a larger scale as he was diagnosed with alzheimers about a year ago,now I'm not saying that is what is wrong with your dad at all,I'm only saying that it can be very confusing for everyone involved. :(

I hope you get it all sorted out soon, all the best for 06 ;)

Sorry to hear of your bad news Elizabeth, wishing you and your family all the best of luck for 2006 :luck: :luck: :luck:
