Cannot actually believe I am reading this, Roy was such a kind and gentle man. He was lovely to everyone, and no matter what he was doing he would always have the time of day to speak to you. He was just so nice, an honest genuine man, men like Roy are very few and far between. It was a pleasure to have known this gentleman.

He will be sadly missed, our thoughts are with Muriel and Family at this hard time xx

For those who have enquired, Roy's funeral arrangements are as follows:

Harwood Park Crematorium on Monday the 17th of October at 14:45.

Harwood Park,

Watton Road,

Stevenage,

Hertfordshire.

Harwood Park is actually located between Stevenage & Knebworth.

You should note that enetering the Post Code in to a Sat Nav will unfortunately take you to the WRONG location, so a little bit of map reading will be required from either Stevenage or Knebworth.

The easiest way to find it is probably from the A1 or the M1 then work your way on to the A602, head towards Hertford/Ware then turn right on to the Hertford Road at the round about next to the Stevenage Golf Course, then turn left under the railway bridge.

A request for family flowers only, otherwise donations would be kindly accepted for the "Garden House Hospice" via Muriel.

Dear Muriel & family

we are so sorry to hear of your loss of Roy, a great character.

We first met in the early 70's at Buntingford , the Towns Carnival ,racing the dogs with Reg & Cissy Frances, and coninued to see each other before Stevenage WRC got started and when it did we were all members .

Our paths have crossed over the years and Roy will be sadly missed.

Thinking of you

Carol Dave & family
