i noticed a small lump had appeared on his neck shoulder last week so i called the vet. he was taken in at 830am to have it removed. when i went to collect him at 4pm i was taken with Storm for a "chat". the cancer has returned in a series of lumps which are under the skin and showed up once he was shaved pre-op. they look as if theyre about to come through like previous ones. the lump that was removed has been taken for a biopsy but the vet is certain what it is. shes still prepared to carry on with the chemo depending on the results of blood tests which are expected back in a week. whats killed me is her words.."its the beginning of the end..." to say i feel physically sick is an understatement.

i dont want to show pictures of him all shaved again as hes too noble a dog to show his wounds off once more.  can i ask that people just pray for him.

i phoned the vet today as yesterday i didnt really listen too well. the results from Storms blood samples are due back this week, theyll show the "white cell" count, if they are at a satisfactory level they will continue with the chemo. with his neck all shaved i can watch for any change in the other small lumps that are lurking. the problem with this form of cancer is its so aggresive. its now a waiting game to see what happens next.

im over whelmed by the amount of well-wishers on here and believe me it makes all the difference when i know people are genuinely rooting for him. everybodys dog is always the bestest dog in the world...and make no mistake Storm is the same. in may 2006 he ripped his sacroiliac joint. 2 months off his feet and 5 months on a lead having to learn how to get his back legs working again only to meet up with the "dreaded" at christmas.

hes proved hes a fighter and when i see the fight is getting the better of him ill let him go.....only after ive tore my heart out.

thanks to everyone whos wished him well
