Hi All

Recently we have become the proud owners of Thomas a crossbreed Saluki that we adopted from Battersea Dog Home. Given that he is a lot different from our last dog a springer I have looked at various website in the hope of getting lots of information regarding this hound.

Looking at the various links on this forum I was wondering if there is a local club or events that bring these power house hounds together.

I would love to see him run to his heatrs content...short but explosive.

wellcome to the forum ,if hes a cross saluki ,surely that makes him a lurcher ,so have a look on the lurcher bit you may find something on there in your area

We're in Swindon in Wiltshire and will also hopefully be going to the show at Bowood house... it's on the 8th and 9th of August. We're members of the Hants and Berks Ferret Club who are going to be doing some ferret racing at the show, so if you go make sure to swing by our tent and say hi

I'm just outside Swindon and also have a Saluki lurcher (and two whippet lurchers and a couple of unidentified small terrier-type things :unsure: )

We'll probably be at Bowood too, the rescue I help to run will have a stand there, so please come along to the Oldies Club stall and say hello!

Many thanks the vet has classified him as Saluki but without any past history I will take all the advise I can get.

Hi, welcome to K9, I'm down the road in Whitley. There is also a Lurcher & Terrier show at Spye park on 14th June. My boys are a Parsons & a Beddy.
