My Sam had an operation yesterday to amputate one of his toes on his forepaw.
Without boring everybody with the history, setbacks & everything ........ the operation yesterday was a success. We have been back to the vet this morning for a check-up & re-dressing; & he was very pleased. Sam has had most of the toe removed, with the bone just underneath being sawn. It was done this way to give both toes either side some support; then hopefully they won't end up 'crossing-over'. :luck:
This has been a long, long haul. Hopefully, now, we are there & in a couple of weeks Sam will be back to how he was a couple of years ago, zooming around like a nutter, just like a Whippet should. :luck:
