got up on friday morning and one of the brindle bitches was walking funny,so i rang up p.d.s.a,they ask how the rest of the litter were i told them fine, explained the pup was fine when i went to bed, they asked me to take her along, but i took whole litter, once checked over she had a broken back,no one had been near the pups all night except my partner when going for a drink.Couldnt understand this,a puzzle indeed as nothing could of fallen on the pup.Had the poor mite put to sleep, broke my heart as i have pampered them.Saturday whilst feeding pups their breakfast sasha was out as she gets her breakfast outside as if the pups go near her food she growls at them,They had finished their feed,so let sasha in one of the black pups i call tiddles as its the smallest one, went for a feed off its mother she turned on the pup growling and snapped at its head, how i kept my cool i dont know,if i wasnt there i would of not of believed it,checked pup no harm done.Moved sasha out of the kitchen checked her teats all clear no problems.Phoned the p.d.s.a took sasha incase she had an infection or some thing but she was all clear. Now we know what happened to the other pup.i have tried again but she is turning on them when they try to feed.Pups have been eating on their own before this for 2 weeks and i have lacto that i feed them.Phoned my vet this morning as they have been closed.Been told to seperate mum from pups.Pups are doing great on their own and they have had a vet check they can be homed now if i want to but i dont know yet but sasha will be no where near them is this thing normal as my vet says they are qiute a few mothers with pups like this.Any dvice on this would be gratefull.
