Just seen this on the BBC News website.

A sat-nav dog collar designed to thwart pet thieves has gone on show to thousands of people attending Crufts.

The lockable collar, made of anti-cut material, uses three tracking devices - satellite, telecom and radio frequency - to locate a dog's position

it sounds really good but i would be a little worried about all the radiation coming of it, if you really think about it its kind of like a mobile phone and they set of radiation but it a safe amount as most dont have the phone strapped round there necks 24/7

i would be a little worried about this id like to know if it has been tested in anyway about this sort of thing.

its must be constantly sending out signals and reciveing them so im not sure.

dont get me wrong i think its an amazing step in the right direction but i think i would have to read more into it.

Sounds like a good idea but I think I would be too worried about the theives trying to cut through the anti-cut collar - perhaps using dangerous equipment and tools that could so easily slip and hurt the dog.

I agree I would not like to think of anything like that on my dogs, you can almost guarantee that a way will be found to cut the collar of if the dog is stolen. :unsure:
