Scam or not re this site?

I have just had an e-mail confirming my change of e-mail address and advising that I can access this site via a link. I have not changed my e-mail address, and only occasionally log in here. I ignored the link and just logged in as usual. Has anybody else had this? If any dodgy posts appear to be from me please report them.

It sounds like a scam. If you haven't changed the email address in your k9/dogforum profile then there's no reason for the system to send that email out to you. The link which was included in that email would probably take you to some scammer's web site, at best in order to harvest your details (confirming that your email address is live) and at worst trying to infect your system with a virus or malware.
