my 16 week old pup Fender likes a bit rough an tumble in the garden and inevertablie has scraped his legs jumping on/over ornimental walls leaving himself with 3 small scars 1 back leg 1 front leg and a slight one on his nose if we choose to show wots the guidelines can anybody help..........................cheers

him beeing so young, the fur can still grow over it. normally, the judges don't hold scars agains't a dog ;)

Don't worry about it, mine have plenty. I expect the one on his nose will go anyway.

Scars should not influence a judge's decision at all. I knew a whippet bitch once who had a scar all the way along the side of her rib cage. She could still win Best in Groups.

A few years ago at an open show the bitch that went BOB still had stitches in her side were she'd ripped her side open on wire whilst rabbiting.
